Individual business EnglishMindset offers not only group courses, but also individual customized training and coaching. Katarina Swahn from Ahlsell has completed an individual business English course, and this is something that she now has use for daily. - I work as a product manager at WS Installation and have customers all over the world, which means that I travel a lot and have a lot of international contacts. My English has worked fine, but I needed to take it to the next level. With the whole world as the playing field and with discussions from technical issues to prices and conditions, having confidence when using a language other than your mother tongue is crucial. I wanted to be more confident when expressing myself, both verbally and in written form. I work a lot with email and come into contact with different cultures and languages on a daily basis. That’s why we focused partly on building my vocabulary and also how to express myself clearly and to handle situations when I speak to people who are not Swedish. - I feel much more confident today with my business English. And when I feel more confident, this is automatically reflected in my behavior, which is an advantage when I’m involved in negotiations. Before the course began, Katarina took a written test and went through an oral interview, which set the groundwork for the course. - It was really good that they did it this way, partly because the training could then be easily adapted to fit my needs and partly because the training was then completely connected to my own working day. So it was easy to go out and try and practice what I’d learned. |
