Case
TRATON is a subsidiary of the Volkswagen Group and with 120,000 employees is one of the world’s largest manufacturers of commercial vehicles with its brands MAN, Scania, Navistar and Volkswagen Caminhões e Ônibus.
Increased cross-border cooperation for better decision-making processes and greater business value.
A collaboration between ESMT Berlin business school and Mindset to combine the latest research with business application.
Increased business value through collaboration and a shared mindset. The result and pioneering design was awarded Gold in Excellence in Practice and by Brandon Hall.
The IPO required the three brands; MAN, Scania and Volkswagen Bus to be brought together culturally with a common new mindset based on entrepreneurial thinking and critical data analysis in a changing unpredictable world (VUCA).
In order to offer the highest level of faculty, combined with a learning journey that focuses on application and results, the collaboration between ESMT Berlin and Mindset was crucial to the success of this initiative.
Strengths and expertise were successfully combined in a solid program design with a focus on targeted performance and behavioral change. By daring to use a new mindset in their daily work and leadership, a more creative culture was quickly created.
"TRATON GROUP's success is entirely dependent on how well our brands, and indeed our people, from Scania (Swedish), MAN (German), VWTB (Brazilian) and Navistar (American) can collaborate, leverage each other's strengths and create value together. By combining Mindset's and ESMT Business School Berlin's unique strengths, we were able to tailor a development program for our talents and create the change and learning journey we needed to achieve lasting changes in mindset and behavior of the participants and thus also increased business value."
